To ensure the health of our Veterans during this virus season, we are temporarily suspending volunteers in our Community Living Centers starting today, March 5, 2020. This includes any assignment such as friendly visitor, recreation assistance, silver spoons feeding at lunch, pet visits, etc. as well as any sponsored activities that occur in building 138 and 59B. We do apologize for the inconvenience this will cause and will alert you as soon as the situation changes because we know how much your presence here at Coatesville matters to our Veterans .
I would also like to offer reminders to all our volunteers regarding visiting our campus. Reflect on the below questions:
Do you have a fever? A new or worsening cough or shortness of breath? Do you have flu-like symptoms?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, we ask that you stay home and not come in to preform your volunteer role. When you are symptom-free we will look forward to your return!
If you are concerned about catching a virus or flu and wish to temporarily suspend your volunteer shifts, we ask that you simply notify us of your decision.
Please feel free to contact our office with any questions you may have.
