Help Needed

MARINES…AND ALL VETERANS!!!

Please take a moment and read the e-mail below. I have recently learned of a Veteran…a Vietnam War Veteran…who passed away in a nursing home. His ashes have been housed there, at the nursing home, for two (2) years because no one – family or friend – came to claim them.

The VNA Hospice of Greater Philadelphia is going to receive the ashes and have arranged for internment at Whitemarsh Cemetery in Ambler, PA.

What I’m asking of you is not monetary, but a few hours of your time to send this soul off with the respect and humanity he deserves for his service.

Marines don’t leave Marines behind; I say we Marines don’t leave Veterans behind either.

Please consider sending 1 or 2 members of your Detachment or Chapter to be present, as you are able.

You may contact Mr. Robert Haley, USMC and Veteran Liaison at VNA Philadelphia, at the address or telephone number below (or at RHaley@vnaphilly.org) for more specific information and/or to inform him of your participation in the ceremony.

Thank you very much for your time and service.
